Saw Wreck-It Ralph today finally. I hate UK release dates, they always take so long to send American films over here. We both speak English, right???
Anyhoo, great fim, loved it a lot, great characters, cool animation, well done Disney. I'd like to see this film win the Oscar, but we'll see soon enough. Hard to pick favorite character, since they were all amazing. I'll prolly go with King Candy. ONE THING, I didn't like was Turbo's final design. In 8-Bit, he looks great, but I never saw him before watching this film. All I had to go on was the fan art and they made him look like a fucking monster or a whacked out crazy lunatic. Something like Ed Roth would make, I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT! But, only a nitpick, he didn't get a huge amount of screen time anyway, oh well.
Any UK peeps out there, go watch Wrinkled Ralph, it's great!
You have drawn Ralph with the most handsome face I have ever seen
I've already seen it twice XD I have to say King Candy was my favorite character too, or at least tied with Felix, he was such a diabolical, manipulative douchebag (King Candy, not Felix, we're saving that plot twist for the sequel) and I felt like such an idiot when I fell for his "I'm trying to protect her" story. Alan Tudyk totally deserved the Annie award he got for playing him.
Am I the only one who thought Turbo looked like Voldemort crossed with Speed Racer? and that death by boiling diet cola is the most original death to be in any movie for a long time?
I have a really bad feeling Brave is going to win the Oscar, because it seems to be raking in all the awards. Don't get me wrong, I liked Brave, but it's up against films that are so much better and far more deserving of the "best film" title. ParaNooman, Fronkenweiner and Wrack-it-Rooph were all great.
I'll prolly see again at some point, I've never seen a movie TWICE in theatres before. All the characters are so likeable, it's hard for me to choose, but King Candy is the best haha. I already knew about the plot twist before seeing the movie, so that sucked for me, but I never would have known!!!
I like his outfit, I just expected him to look more beastly, to contrast with King Candy's cute and loveable design. Haha, that is a great death, I loved it. Some very tear jerking moments in that movie also, I have to admit. :'c
I never saw Brave, but I got a feeling the Oscar might go to Pixar. DAMMIT PIXAR!!!
I remember on the countless youtube ads for this movie that Ralph apparently dreams of being on a swimsuit calender....suddenly it all makes sense.
It's the only movie I've seen twice in theaters so it can take pride in that. What's weird is because the villain was so good I was actually really sad to see him die, because he can't come back and continue being awesome (he's been boiled to death by a carbonated beverage, nobody comes back from that). He shall live on in our hearts.
I loved the outfit too, but I got major Voldemort vibes from his face, I think it was the nose. Also, glow in the dark eyes, jeebus.
I cried at the scene where Ralph does what he does best to Vanellope's cart. Dammit Disney why u so emotional?
It was okay, but it really didn't deserve the best picture by a long shot, maybe best visuals or something because the landscapes were gorgeous, but the story was pretty flat compared to the others.
I also forgot to mention Pirates! In an adventure with scientists, that was great too.
